Life Events - Baptism, Marriage & Funeral enquiries

General Information
There are times in our lives when contact with our local church becomes important even if we are not part of the regular church family. Within the Church of England, these are known as “Life Events” and can include the baptism of a child or adult, a marriage or marriage blessing, and a funeral for a family member or friend.

Beyond these more formal Life Events, the local church can also offer help in times of more informal need, sometimes through practical support, sometimes through having just a friendly listening ear, sometimes by responding to a request for prayer.

Baptism

If you would like to have your child baptised, please contact the vicar Chris Wragg on 01708 446571 / 07714507147

Chris will contact you and arrange a time to meet. First of all, we encourage you to come along and see what you think about All Saints. One of our Morning Praise Services held at 10.30am is a good place to start. Check on the calendar to see the list of services.

If you live outside our parish and don’t come to All Saints, please contact your local vicar first.

Baptism services usually happen on a date agreed between the Church and the Parents. There is no prescribed fee, but a donation to the church may be given.

More information on christenings/baptism can be found on the Church of England website
in this document

Funeral enquiries

In the event of a funeral we will usually be contacted directly by your chosen Funeral Director, so please contact them first.

A suitable time & date will be agreed and the member of the ministry team responsible will contact you to discuss the details for either a crematorium or church service.

If you would like to speak to the vicar after any service first, please call on 01708 446571

And we are always here to listen and to pray – if that is what you would like.

Marriage

Congratulations!

We will be very happy to hear from you if you wish to get married in our church.

If you or your partner lives in the parish, it is your right to marry here. You may also be able to marry here if you have strong connections with the church. Please contact Vicar Chris Wragg, on 01708 446571 or email, for further information.

Or you can find out more about getting married in church here.
